In 2004 I graduated at the university of Leiden in the specializations of civil law and corporate law. After that I worked for 16 years as an attorney at law at a renowned, medium sized, attorney’s office located in Leiden. Since June 2021 I’ve joined HJF Advocaten.
During my daily practice I mostly attend to the interests of entrepreneurship in the field of IP- and IT-rights, among other things in the form of guiding disputes as well as drafting and reviewing all kinds of agreements. Conducting negotiations and providing advice in this connection belongs to my daily routine as well. Moreover, I am engaged in both the filing of applications for the registration of trademarks and designs, as well as in conducting procedures in connection with the protection and enforcement of trademarks, designs, copyrights, trade names and domain names. In this regard, I have completed in 2009 the specialization training of the Benelux Association for Trademark- and Design law (BMM), and since then I am allowed to use the certification mark of the BMM.
I also, with some regularity and a lot of fun, take care of presentations within these practice areas, in the (recent) past among others at the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP), the local Chamber of Commerce, the ABN-AMRO Summer School and the The Hague University.
In my own free time I enjoy a diversion of sports (both active as passive), do I visit miscellaneous (cultural) events with lots of fun, and am I happy to spend time with friends and family.
